The difference between ROSH and REACH.
1. Different test items.
REACH 73 items (35 metals)
ROHS 6 items (metal 4 items)
2. Different standards.
REACH: regulation on the registration, assessment, authorization and restriction of chemicals ( REACH)
ROHS: 2002/95/EC (2011/65/EU)
The essential difference between the ROSH and REACH is:
1. ROHS is the directive issued by the Europe, which needs to be translated into law; And the REACH law comes into effect immediately after promulgation.
2. The control scope is different: ROHS mainly controls the use of six harmful substances including lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl and polybrominated biphenyl ether. REACH controls all products and requires registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of harmful chemicals.
3. ROHS control of the content of harmful substances in a single substance; REACH is the control of the amount of a product or substance in a product or substance.
4. There are several harmful substances in ROHS2.0 which are included in the REACH regulation, but they are irreplaceable.
