The structure of GYTA is to sheath 125μm fiber into a high modulus loose tube (PBT). The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. A steel wire, sometimes sheathed with polyethylene (PE) for high fiber count cable, locates in the center of cable as a metallic strength member. PBT tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the strength member into a compact and round shape. The gap between the tubes is filled with water blocking compounds. An Steel plastic composite (PSP) is applied around the stranded loose tubes (and fillers). Then, the cable is completed with a PE sheath.
