How is LC Uniboot different from regular LC fiber connectors?
日期:2024-04-22 04:56:28
A standard LC duplex connector typically consists of two LC simplex connectors joined together with a clip, with each connector containing a single fiber. In contrast, an LC Uniboot connector is an enhanced version of the LC duplex connector where two fibers coexist within a single 2.4mm or 3.0mm jacket, achieving the functionality of dual fibers in one cable. This greatly reduces the space requirements for cabling. Therefore, the main difference between an LC Uniboot connector and a regular LC fiber connector lies in its adoption of a single-cable dual-fiber design, thereby reducing the space requirements for cabling.

1. Optimized Design to Meet High-Density Application Requirements

LC Uniboot adopts a design with dual fibers in a single jacket and an integrated boot, eliminating the need for dual cables. This makes it more compact than regular LC duplex fiber jumpers, saving space and reducing overall bulk cabling by 50%. Additionally, this design facilitates heat dissipation in the cabling system and allows for more efficient utilization of space, thereby achieving higher energy efficiency.

2. Easy to Insert and Remove, with Extended Push Tabs for Easier Unlocking

LC Uniboot connectors are equipped with extended push tabs, allowing them to reach further into the unlocking area, making it easier for users to insert and remove jumpers.

3. Polarity Convertibility for Easy and Convenient Operation

LC Uniboot connectors innovatively design the two plugs of the fiber connector to be interchangeable, allowing users to easily reverse the fiber polarity without any tools. This can be achieved simply by opening the clip, facilitating polarity switching.

4. Compliance with International Standards Ensuring Safety and Stability

LC Uniboot connectors comply with the design requirements of IEC61754-20 and GR326, while also meeting fire protection requirements such as RoHS and UL94-V0 standards. This ensures their safety and stability performance.
